Kawasaki Ninja H2R

Kawasaki Ninja H2R is a sports bike available in 1 variant in india. Its price starts from ₹75,48,246 (ex-showroom). Kawasaki Ninja H2R generates 305 bhp of power and 165 nm of torque from its 998cc engine. Double cylinder engine of Ninja H2R has a 6 speed manual gearbox. With both rear and front disk brakes, Kawasaki Ninja H2R also has an anti-locking braking system. This 216 kg bike is available in 1 colour.

They may have sold out in 2016, but if you missed the opportunity, the Kawasaki H2 is back for 2017. In fact, there are two more options for the Indian buyer, the H2 Carbon and the full-fat H2R. Among the changes for 2017 are the addition of a rear Ohlins shock absorber with 22-step adjustment.

Complementing this is a six-axis Bosch IMU, which should make harnessing the H2's power a wee bit easier than before. There's also cornering ABS and a quickshifter that doesn't need the clutch for downshifts. Those who don't like being bent over all the time can opt for the Ergo-Fit handlebar, which makes the grips 2cm higher than usual. Also on the options list are heavier bar-end weights and frame sliders. The dashboard also shows the bank angle in real time now. The H2 range will not get the Euro 4 updates for India, since those have been reserved only for the European Union.

The H2 remains the base model, while the H2 Carbon is a neat way of offering a street-legal H2 that looks like the H2R. The Carbon is limited to 120 units and will offer a carbonfibre upper cowl, carbonfibre Akrapovic exhaust and a similar paint scheme as the H2R. It gets a small plaque on the supercharger telling you which of the 120 it is. Expect it to cost significantly more than the H2.

The H2R remains a track-only motorcycle and hideously expensive, but not much will be able to offer straight-line performance at the level the H2R offers.

Brembo brakes

A pair of massive ø330 mm Brembo semi-floating discs with a thickness of t5.5 mm deliver superb braking force.

Single-sided Swingwarm

Having a single-sided swingarm allows the exhaust silencer to be mounted closer to the bike centreline, ensuring a high bank angle for sporty cornering.

Riding position

The riding position was designed for riding at ultra-high speed and circuit riding. To help support the rider during intense acceleration, hipsupporting pads flank the rear of the seat. The hip support is adjustable 15 mm backward to suit rider size.

Oil Jets

In the interest of keeping the engine compact and simple, a single lubrication system provides cooling oil for the engine components, supercharger and transmission.

Electronic throttle valves

Kawasaki’s fully electronic throttle actuation system enables the ECU to control the volume of both the fuel (via fuel injectors) and the air (via throttle valves) delivered to the engine. Ideal fuel injection and throttle valve position results in smooth, natural engine response and the ideal engine output. The system also makes a significant contribution to reduced emissions

Mirror paint

Kawasaki’s new Highly Durable paint features a special coat that allows scratches to repair themselves, enabling the paint to maintain its high-quality finish†. * Soft and hard segments in the coat work together like a chemical spring, creating a trampoline effect that absorbs impacts. † Notes: 1. In some cases, it takes about one week for recovery. 2. The paint will not recover in the case of scratches caused by a coin or key, or zip fasteners.

Ohlins TTX36 Rear suspension

The addition of Öhlins’ highly acclaimed TTX shock offers numerous rider benefits:
- Increased rear stability
- excellent damping and increased riding comfort

- Increased rear stability
- Superb feedback from the road
- More stability at speed.

Dog ring Transmission

To facilitate smooth, quick shifting, a dog-ring type transmission was selected. This is the kind of transmission commonly found in MotoGP or Formula 1, and was developed with feedback from the Kawasaki Racing Team.

Cylinder Head

A number of considerations were given to the cylinder head design to ensure the cooling performance needed for the supercharged engine. The large coolant passageways result in the ideal cooling for the combustion chamber.

Hydraulic clutch
A high-quality hydraulic clutch offers less maintenance, ensuring the initial touch condition can be maintained. And with Brembo components, superb linearity and smooth actuation are also benefits.
